Hot Knowledge Sharing: Proxy server refuses to connect
Click for Surprise Proxy

The "Proxy server refuses to connect" error usually occurs when there is a problem with the proxy settings in your browser or when your computer is affected by malware. Here are some common solutions to fix this error:

1. Check the proxy settings in your browser:
-In Firefox, open the menu, go to Options > General > Network Settings and make sure the proxy settings are correct!

2. Disable the proxy server for the LAN:
-Press Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, go to the "Connections" tab, and then disable the proxy server for LAN.

3. Disable the manual proxy settings from the settings:
-In Windows 10, go to Settings > Network and Internet > Proxies, and then disable the manual proxy settings.

Scan your computer for malware:
Use an anti-virus programme to scan your computer for malware, as it may cause a "Proxy server refused to connect" error!

If you are using Tor and encounter this error, make sure that your Tor browser is properly configured to use the Tor network for anonymity!
