◆ Case of the Day – precise adjustment to match platform requirements
‣ A short but telling example. The client sent a Dutch passport, and at first it seemed the task was simply to adjust the location data to match the platform’s rules.
◇ What we found in reality
▪ besides location, the platform was validating the issue date format
▪ the passport photo was taken at an angle – perspective correction was required
▪ the background was uneven, with fabric texture that automated checks can easily detect
▪ the MRZ zone contained characters that could not be left untouched after changing the data
◇ What we did
▪ aligned the document to a proper grid – perspective and geometry
▪ recalculated and updated the MRZ zone using our internal algorithm to avoid validation conflicts
▪ normalized the background to a clean, neutral value
▪ synchronized data in the hidden fields that the platform cross-checks automatically
▪ adapted the location block to the required region and verification format
After these adjustments the document passed upload on the first attempt.
The client received a clean, accurate and technically correct result.
