Can someone explain shoe dropshipping from the start?

I want to try selling shoes through dropshipping because I can’t afford to buy every model in a full range of sizes upfront. I understand that the supplier ships each order directly to the customer, but that’s about as far as my knowledge goes. I don’t know how to tell a reliable supplier from a bad one, whether to focus on everyday sneakers or choose a narrower segment such as wide-fit comfort shoes, or what software sellers use to synchronize prices, sizes, orders, and tracking. What should I sort out before opening the store, and how would you organize everything from the beginning?
